Music In Spotlight: In Flagranti, Jega, Depeche Mode, Funeral Party

New music is done for now. What's the point if other blogs are posting it way before us. We'll try something new by covering the music we enjoy here @ Chord Simple. It maybe new or old. Either way, welcome to our first edition of Music In Spotlight.

In Flagranti is always a favorite here. Their production is always consistent. The folks @ Turntable Lab said it the best. They're "like the MVP's of the new disco s***." Their latest release is called Sexx Piss Tool with their usual sleazy art cover. Every track is solid. Check out the video promo & then buy, buy, buy! They're the only artists that matter now.

Jega is a household name for IDM & if you're an avid listener of the Planet Mu label. He also did stuff for SKAM. The following track comes off his classic album, Geometry.

Here's another track which starts off really ambient. You know what? It's remixed Depeche Mode.

I got this from our inbox. It's from a band from California who were with Yelle during her previous US Tour. Funeral Party does the new disco thing with some pop sensibility. I really like this song. Thank you Laurie for sending this one.
